Empire Mates Entertainment Records popularly known as E.M.E was once the best record label in Nigeria but right now, it cannot be rated among the top 5 labels in the counttry. Your question is
"WHY DID THEY FALL WITHOUT WIZKID?"
The answer is simple,it is because they built their world aound Wizkid. Wizkid was a young star with a very good and marketable talent. His boss, Banky W saw the profit he was going to make from the young star but he forgot to think about the fate of an empire that is supported by only one pillar. Skales was also talennted but with much attention given to Wizkid, there was little or no way Skales could bring back profit to the label. Banky felt there was no use for Skales and he terminated his contract. My question is
IF SKALES WAS A BAD ARTISTE, WHY HAS HE MADE MORE HITS THAN BANKY SINCE HE LEFT E.M.E?
I am going to write more about this in another article. Now E.M.E are now depending on their D.J to save them because he is the only one still making sense in the record label.
