Nigerian popular and very talented singer, RUNTOWN has parted ways with his record label, Eric Manny Records. But his label is not ready to let him go as they have dragged him to the court of law
that Runtown still has some unresolved issues with them.
After A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, the superstar was slammed with an injuction. Douglas Jack Agu who is best known as Runtown was slammed with an injunction that prevents him from performing in any show or releasing an recording for the main time without his label's approval which is known as Ericmany .
Runtown was dragged to court by his label on the grounds that he attends musical shows and performs without the knowledge of his label.Ericmany Entertainment label presently holds the copyright to all his music.
His Label,Ericmany Entertainment claim to have invested lots of money on Runtown which runs into millions of naira. The problem started when the singer with the connivance of Bug Media ran by one Bugwu Aneto began to sideline his label and they started collecting money from shows without the approval or knowledge of his label. Bug Media was also dragged to court.
The owner of Bug media is said to have been the former general manager of Ericmany but he was sacked after this issue began.
Observers suggest he was misled by Bugwu, the former General Manager of Ericmany to ditch his boss and benefactor Ericmany. From their statement, Runtown was used by Bugwu. We hope he reconciles with EricMany.
