Now don't be fooled by the heading. This is not a post to incite any form of feud among fans. Both Wizkid and Davido have scaled heights previously unimagined by any Nigerian artistes. This is just a post to know what the fans really think. This Davido v Wizkid comparison is very similar to Messi v Ronaldo in that just when you think one has achieved the impossible, the other makes it look like no big deal. While watching Wizkid aka Baba Nla as he is now fondly called by fans receive his award and announce the signing of R2Bees to Starboy, I just wondered, Just how far this young boy has gone in a little while. You'll not really appreciate the preceeding statement until you realise that when R2Bees were already an established act in the African music scene with their smash hit 'Kiss your hand' ft Wande Coal, Wizkid was down and under. Probably still a studio rat 'for Modox Studio' as he popularly sang. Now he was receiving the Ghana Music Award for the Best African Act( for the second time... duhh Davido won it last year), just as his collaboration with American rapper Drake was sitting atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the second week running, making him the first and only Nigerian based Nigerian artiste to even appear on let alone top the biggest Music Chart in the world. Now that's greatness! artistes to rank 3rd on the Spotify/Itunes worldl artistes ranking.Haters will say they didn't hear his voice.lol but I heard it a bit sometimes. lol .We also exclusively posted how he topped a lot of highly acclaimed artistes to rank 3rd on the Spotify/Itunes world artistes ranking. Now this feat comes weeks after his colleague Davido graced the cover of Fader Magazine! Now J. Cole fans would remember when he rapped that he has dreams of being featured on the famous magazine, but while J. Cole dreamed, Davido just did it! That was the height of achievements! I mean wizkid's Ojuelegba made number 12 of Fader's Top 20 songs of the summer last year.

But that was nothing compared to being on the cover yeah? Not until the worldwide hit 'One Dance' I guess. Now both artistes have collaborated with countless local and international artistes. Wizkid even going as far as appearing on the album of R. Kelly, Major Lazer, Angel and now Drake. Davido has Meek Mill and Trey Songz to boast of. Both have won quite a number of awards. With his GMA Artist of the year, he has now drawn level with Davido. Both Having a whooping 33 major awards. Both enjoy sell out tours all over the world and both are label owners, endorse multi-national companies. Both of them are among an exclusive list of musicians that fly private jets. Yes! Hit after hit after hit, the same question always comes up. Who is better? Credit to Davido though, cos Wizkid had the headstart. It is a good development that they now hangout together, something we couldn't have imagined two years ago. I cannot write enough. Folks I'M CONFUSED!!! Help me decide. Who is better?
